  The National Institution of Special Education was established in 1986 to train manpower in Special Education. It provides services for the education, guidance and rehabilitation of special children and adults in Pakistan by organizing training programmes with the help of Faculty Members/ Subject Specialists and National / Local experts in the field of Special Education, Psychology, Psychiatry and Social Work. These courses provide special knowledge and skills to teachers, parents and other professionals working in the field. The curriculum and guidelines are also developed for the teachers and parents of special persons.
